This Kansas man was so moved by a $1.3 million Mercedes that he started crying tears of joy.
Tyler Hoover, of Hoovies Garage, has seen a lot of cars in his time.
Usually, the owner of the self-described ‘dumbest automotive YouTube channel’ would want to cry tears of despair over some of the cars that come his way.
But this time around, it was tears of joy that were flowing – all because of this $1.3 million Mercedes.

This $1.3 million Mercedes moved him to tears
Tyler Hoover has seen a lot of cars in his time on YouTube.
But it’s not often that one has moved him to tears.
Well, we’re sure there were some cars that made him want to cry due to how bad they were.
But these were happy tears – tears of joy in fact.

This was the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster, branded by Hoover as the ‘greatest car ever made’.
What made it so special?
Let us count the ways.
Firstly, the bodywork is just majestic and cool in a classic kind of way.
You could see James Bond cruising around in this Roadster.
It’s a car built for driving along the south coast of France.

Are we painting a vivid enough picture for you?
But it’s not all about the looks, and this car is more than just a pretty piece of bodywork.
Hoover took it out for a spin and loved the experience.
“Holy moly…I have goosebumps, this is a bucket list dream come true,” he gushed.
Off-camera, he did shed some tears and was invited to come back and drive it again at the Mercedes Classic Center which it resided.

The many cars that have come through Hoovies Garage over the years
It was quite exceptional for Hoover to be dealing with such an easy-going car.
Usually, the cars he comes across give him some problems.
He’s landed himself in a fair few sticky situations before – having previously bought a broken Bugatti Veyron, which he later called his ‘dumbest purchase‘.
There was also the time his girlfriend surprised him with a Dodge Dart – and it broke down not long after.
