Kevin O’Leary had a lot of fun buying himself a Porsche, but when his wife caught a glimpse of him, she made a hilarious comment.

The Shark Tank star has a lot of cash to splurge, and there’s possibly no better way to spend it than on a Porsche.

Well, it seemed that his wife wasn’t as enthusiastic, if this comment is anything to go by.

But did it dampen his Porsche passion?

Kevin O’Leary bought himself a Porsche, but his wife wasn’t such a big fan

Back in 2018, O’Leary told CNBC that he’d once bought a Porsche on a whim.

Sounds like a nice way to treat yourself, right?

Well, his wife’s comment did rain on his parade a little bit.

After taking one look at him in the car, she reportedly remarked:

“Oh no, another bald a-hole in a Porsche.”

Ouch.

Some people don’t like seeing a middle-aged guy in a sports car – Ross Geller found that out the hard way with his MGB Roadster in Friends.

Fortunately, O’Leary didn’t take it to heart:

“I don’t care, I like the car.”

O’Leary finds himself in good company when it comes to liking Porsches, as Jerry Seinfeld and Brad Pitt also count themselves as owners.

Taking a closer look at the German brand

Ever since it was founded in 1931, Porsche has been synonymous with motoring excellence.

Porsche has two main plants, and both are in Germany: one is in the Zuffenhausen district of its hometown of Stuttgart, and the other is in the city of Leipzig.

When it comes to which cars are made where, the Zuffenhausen factory produces the 911, the Taycan, the 718 Cayman, and the 718 Boxster, while Leipzig builds the Panamera and the Macan.

The brand produces a large number of cars each year – 310,718 were rolled out in 2024 alone.

Of these, the Porsche Cayenne SUV is the best-seller, with 95,604 delivered in 2022, followed by the Macan, which sold 86,724.

According to the automaker, around 550 Macans and Panameras are produced at the Leipzig plant every single day.
