The fabled Scooby-Doo Mystery Machine has been brought to life thanks to American rapper Kodak Black – and his epic GMC Minivan overhaul.

Many of our childhoods were spent watching Shaggy fumble the bag, Velma crack the code, Daphne kill with kindness, Scooby save the day, and Fred unmask the villain.

But all of the gang’s shenanigans took place out the back of a hippy-fied minivan.

Now, Kodak Black has reinvented the iconic Mystery Machine, and it’s already attracted a lot of attention.

Film and animation culture has led to a range of iconic make-believe vehicles to be championed, many of which are often replicated by celebrities.

Think James Bond, for example, whose range of cars has landed in the private collections of stars like Max Verstappen and even, briefly, within the grasp of our own Alex Hirschi – AKASupercar Blondie.

Now, American rapper Kodak Black has unveiled his own Mystery Machine. It’s based on the Scooby-Doo series… and made from a GMC minivan.

The famed rapper has wrapped the van in the signature turquoise and green hues of the Mystery Machine seen in comics and animations.

Inside, the design keeps the color palette alive with the leather seats and carpeted floor in the same blue/green.

Of course, there are a few of Black’s own touches, including the gold rims. Typically, the van had plastic green and orange alloys, but this design is for a rapper, after all.

The rims are a nod towards Broward and Miami-Dade’s donk car culture, where Chevys would always sit on 22 and 24-inch gold wheels.

The GMC Minivan was commissioned by Kodak Black himself. But it has quickly been highlighted and involved in photoshoots for clothing brands like SoleBoy.

SoleBoy took advantage of its relationship with Kodak Black to collaborate on a childhood-chasing clothing range.

The collection includes sweaters, shorts, and joggers, hand-sewn with the bold colours and floral patterns of the Mystery Machine.

Scooby-Doo would be proud.

There’s also been a range of more outlandish recreations from film and TV, such as the iconic ‘59 Cadillac Ghostbusters Ectomobile and Freddy Flintstone’s Flintmobile EV.
