This Koenigsegg Jesko spotted driving in Dubai had a license plate that was probably worth more than the car.

The Jesko cut a stylish figure as it drove down a highway in Dubai.

But once footage of it made its way online, many found their eyes being drawn to the license plate on the back.

And for good reason too – it was worth a whole lot of money.

This Koenigsegg Jesko had something very pricey sitting on the back

Jeroen Mul, a professional driver, got a shot of a Koenigsegg Jesko driving down a highway in Dubai.

In stunning white, this supercar was oozing with class and coolness.

People on Instagram certainly thought so when he shared the clip to his page.

“Beautiful,” one gushed.

That came with more flame emojis than we can even begin to share.

But there was one element in particular that got people talking – its AA 16 license plate.

“Plate number probably worth more than the car,” one viewer commented.

“Looks amazing and that plate number [Emojis of cash],” another echoed.

“Plate number has good taste in cars,” someone else joked.

So what’s the big deal with this plate?

Well, you may recall that this plate sold for $2 million (AED 7.3 million) back in May 2024.

It went for sale at an auction held by the Road and Transport Authority (RTA).

The AA 16 received the highest sum out of 90 plates that went for sale that day, raising a total of $18 million (AED 65 million).

“It is based on neutrality, transparency, and providing equal opportunities for lovers of special numbers, who seek to acquire them through the authority’s auctions because these special numbers represent important occasions, symbols, events, and milestones in their lives,” the RTA said in a statement.

This isn’t the first license plate to go for big bucks

Believe it or not, license plates can fetch a lot of money in special circumstances.

Over in Australia, there’s a license plate that ended up selling for $7.5 million – but to be fair, this one had a history dating back to 1910.

Then there was this American guy who discovered an extremely valuable license plate in his dad’s collection.

For some people, it’s seen as an investment – one guy spent $585K on a F1 license plate.
