He’d waited his whole life to own a Lamborghini Aventador SV, and just four weeks in, it looked like he’d already broken it.
YouTuber Cam Casey had racked up only 400 miles when he spotted something terrifying under the car: a growing puddle of oil.
“I don’t know what to do,” he said in a video shared with followers. “This is going to be really, really expensive.”
His dream was turning into a nightmare.

Why he feared the worst when he spotted an oil leak
The leak wasn’t small.
It was spreading across the garage floor, dripping from underneath the rear end, and it smelled exactly like what it was – engine oil.
Cam initially hoped it came from his nearby McLaren. But once he fired up the Lamborghini, the check engine light flashed on.
That’s when panic set in.
To replace the engine would cost upwards of $100,000. Cam expressed ‘terror and anxiety’ at the prospect.
“This car to me is so much more than a car,” he said.

Worried he’d blown the motor or cracked a seal inside the transmission, he manually pushed the car out of his garage, afraid that starting the engine might cause further damage.
He took it straight to Avant Garde Xotics, a trusted specialist in high-end performance cars, and after hours of inspection, they found the culprit: a damaged O-ring on the oil cooler pipe.
A serious supercar oil leak, yes – but not a catastrophic one.
Even better? The team fixed the problem that same day. No engine rebuild. No six-figure invoice.

The Lamborghini Aventador SV was his dream car
Cam’s Aventador SV wasn’t just a $650,000 indulgence – it was his ultimate goal.
He called it a childhood dream-turned-reality.
That’s what made the supercar oil leak so devastating: the fear that the one car he cared about more than any other could be toast just weeks into ownership.
“I tried to act like and pretend it was no big deal,” he said. “I wished it was just water or coolant… I smelled it –that was 100 percent, without a doubt, oil.”

Today, the Lamborghini Aventador SV is back in his garage and leak-free. He’s still making videos with it, still driving it, and maybe appreciating it even more.
And if there’s one thing we’ve learned from this supercar oil leak scare: even dream cars can have off days.
