Take a look at the Lamborghini Egoista – a one-off concept car that was launched to mark 50 years of the luxury carmaker.
Unveiled by the marque in 2013, the Lamborghini Egoista was a true one-of-a-kind vehicle, with an eye-watering $117 million price tag.
From its unique single-seater cockpit to its powerful 5.2 liter V10 engine – the Egoista ‘represents hedonism to the extreme’, according to Lamborghini’s Walter De Silva.
Only one was ever made and it didn’t come cheap.

The one-off Lamborghini Egoista looked like a fighter jet
Lamborghini has released some of the most beautiful and highly-regarded vehicles ever – from the super rare Countach LPI 800-4 to concept cars like the Terzo Millenni EV.
But in 2013, it released something extra special to mark Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary.
The Lamborghini Egosita was designed to turn heads and paired striking looks with a powerful 600 horsepower V10 engine.
Outwardly, the car shares more than a passing resemblance to a fighter jet thanks to its one-seat cockpit and its lighting, which featured side markers and indicators on the sides and top of the car as well as front and rear.
The car was even crafted using antiradar material – much like a real fighter jet.
Its bodywork was made up of active aerodynamic panels that are able to raise and lower for optimum downforce and stability while driving.
Clever stuff, right?
Only one was ever made and was bought by a private collector
The car got its name from the Italian word for ‘selfish’ and was so-named to suggest that all the joy from driving the vehicle remained firmly with whoever was behind the wheel.
This ‘selfish’ single-seat setup, meant that to get in and out of the car, the driver needed to remove the steering wheel – like in a Formula One car.
Inside, the fighter jet vibes continue with a head-up display and a myriad of buttons and switches.
After being unveiled in 2013, the car was initially placed on display at the Museo Lamborghini in Sant’Agata Bolognese, but it was later snapped up by a private collector and was taken to an undisclosed location.
The buyer is believed to have parted with a whopping $117 million to get their hands on the Egoista.
