Back in the 2000s, Lamborghini launched the Reventón with a limited edition run of just 20 examples, but there was actually an even rarer model released just a couple of years on.
The Lamborghini Reventón Coupe was unveiled in 2007 with the marque confirming only 20 models would be available to the public.
It also made an additional vehicle marked as 00/20, which was specially produced for the Lamborghini museum.
However, a couple of years on, the carmaker announced the Reventón Roadster – an even rarer car, with just 15 ever made.

Lamborghini has several rare one-off or ‘few-off’ cars, including the one-of-one Lamborghini Egoista and the Lamborghini Sián.
Its ‘few-off’ series of cars actually began back in 2007 with the introduction of the Reventón.
This was followed by the Reventón Roadster in 2009 – a very special edition car with five fewer examples than the original Reventón.

But if you hoped to get your hands on one, you’d have needed to part with $2.1 million.
The price tag put the Roadster well and truly out of most folk’s budgets, but all 15 models were quickly snapped up nonetheless.
Lamborghini hailed it as ‘the most extreme open-air super sports car’ and it’s not hard to see why.
The Reventón Roadster was fitted with the Murciélago LP 670–4 Super Veloce V12 and was a little more powerful than its Coupe sibling, producing up to 661 horsepower, compared to 641HP in the Coupe.
It had a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h) and could hit 0-62mph (0-100 km/h) in a super-speedy 3.4 seconds.

The marque said the car’s exterior styling was inspired by ‘the fastest airplanes’ and it takes some design cues from the F-22 Raptor fighter jet.
All 15 Reventón Roadsters were painted in Grigio Reventon – a sort of steely grey color – and looked about as gorgeous as you’d expect a $2.1 million Lamborghini to look.
As you can probably guess, given that only 15 were ever made, you’re fairly unlikely to see one out and about on the road any time soon, but they’re a very special part of Lamborghini’s history and heritage.
