Most people likely never learned to drive in a supercar, such as a Lamborghini Aventador.
But one learner driver in Australia did.
The person in question has gone viral after being spotted in Melbourne.
And it has left people with their jaws on the floor.

Melbourne Learner driver spotted in Lamborghini Aventador
Learning to drive is a watershed moment for almost all of us.
It often marks a person’s first real measure of independence.
Whether your own car or someone else’s, it is a feeling of freedom that can often never be described.
So the shock of seeing a learner driver piloting a supercar becomes quite a bit more understandable.
Today’s story comes to us from Melbourne, Australia, from a viral photo posted on the Melbourne Car Spotters’ Facebook page.

The photo itself showcases a Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV.
But standing out on the already striking supercar is a set of yellow Learner plates.
It turns out that this incredible find came about on Melbourne’s Eastern Freeway.
“This Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV was spotted yesterday afternoon being driven by a 16-year-old after school pickup,” noted the caption.

Learning in a supercar is…absolutely legal
As you might imagine, the viral photo sparked a lot of debate online.
“This blows my mind! P players are restricted from high-powered vehicles, but because you’re supervised as a learner, it’s ok to be given the feeling of the power! Ludicrous,” was the view of one person.
“Absolutely love this!!! I learned in a Rolls-Royce, Merc, Porsche, & Beemer … but our Ferrari was off limits. My kids in a Range Rover and a Merc. It is what it is,” said a second commentator.
“I didn’t think you were allowed to drive such powerful cars! Especially a learner driver!!,” was the view of a third.
Most of the comments echoed the shock of a learner driver being allowed to drive a Lamborghini.

But the rules very clearly allow it.
‘Learner permit holders are permitted to drive any registered vehicle in Victoria,’ notes Which Car.
This is where the confusion starts for most people.
It’s when you get into Probationary Licenses that people are restricted in what they can/cannot drive.
The difference is that when you’re a Learner, you must be fully supervised.
Imagine pulling up to school in a Lamborghini Aventador.
