Michael Schumacher was the ‘it’ driver of the 2000s, and now a brand new tribute is set to be paid to him, in the form of LEGO.

Leaked images have surfaced online, and rumors have run rampant, and after seeing the Ferrari set, you’ll be adding it to your 2026 wishlist.

This isn’t the first motorsport or auto tribute we’ve seen in the world of Lego either, but it could be the most impressive.

Not only will the legendary Ferrari car racing driver be remagined in plastic form, so will Schumacher himself.

Michael Schumacher is one of the most successful drivers in history

For Formula 1 fans, a few key drivers stand out from the history books, one of these being Michael Schumacher.

The driver made his Formula 1 debut in 1991, winning his first race just one year later in 1992.

Notably, one of the most successful on the paddock, according to the Formula 1 website itself, Schumacher holds nearly every scoring record in the book by a considerable margin, making him a seven-time champion.

He also became Ferrari’s first champion in 21 years in 2000 – talk about a turn of events.

Schumacher also returned to the sport after initially retiring, a route that not many take, and after his jam-packed career came to an end, the F1 world came up with a novel way to honor him.

Get ready for the ultimate LEGO car release of 2026

Now, we know we’re only a few weeks into the year, but this could be the most impressive release to come out of 2026.

Reports have suggested that Lego has leaked a brand new Lego set featuring Michael Schumacher and his Ferrari powerhouse.

Reportedly featuring 735 pieces and set to be released in March, the set will surely be on every motorsport fan’s birthday and Christmas wishlist.

The F2004 car was Schumacher’s pass to the podium, and allowed him to achieve an impressive number of wins during his track reign.

While the price point and full details are set to be confirmed in due course, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen the sport integrated within the world of LEGO.

In fact, in 2024, the two announced a brand partnership that launched fully last year.

“At the LEGO Group, we have a proud history of having recreated many F1 cars in LEGO brick form in the past, and we believe this new partnership, through LEGO play and building, will help bring the spectacle of this sport even closer to all fans.

“It will enable them to celebrate their passion for the sport in more immersive and exciting ways and will see the power of LEGO creativity and imagination further enhance the thrill of F1.” Chief Product & Marketing Officer of the LEGO Group, Julia Goldin, said.
