F1’s Lewis Hamilton is one of the most famous people on the planet.

The seven-time Formula 1 Drivers’ World Champion is big news anywhere he goes.

Ferrari’s marquee driver recently attended his brother’s race.

But he made his presence far from obvious – in order to keep the spotlight away.

Motorsport fans of every discipline know who Lewis Hamilton is.

Hamilton is one of the world’s most famous celebrities, by quite some distance.

In fact, our very own Alex Hirschi – AKA Supercar Blondie – previously met Hamilton at the Miami Grand Prix.

He is a history maker for several different reasons in the world of Formula 1.

2008 saw Hamilton win his first of many F1 Drivers’ titles, becoming the then-youngest champion ever.

But major technical changes in 2009 led to struggles for Hamilton and the McLaren team.

It was a struggle that would eventually see Hamilton make the move to Mercedes for the 2013 Formula 1 season.

This move was a blockbuster, as it saw Hamilton replace the retiring Michael Schumacher.

2014 would see more engine regulation changes – this time, mandating the use of turbo-hybrid engines.

It was the start of an enormously successful period for Mercedes and Hamilton.

He would go on to claim the Drivers’ champion in 2014, 2015, and four straight from 2017 to 2020.

2021 saw one of the most exciting F1 seasons of all time – with the emergence of Max Verstappen.

At that time, Red Bull Racing was starting to become a serious contender to the Mercedes throne.

And, in the final race of 2021 in Abu Dhabi, a highly controversial finish saw Verstappen win his first Drivers’ title.

It would signal a period of dominance for Red Bull that has only recently started to be challenged by McLaren.

The dominance of Max Verstappen and Red Bull would motivate a move to Maranello in 2025.

In a bombshell announcement, Hamilton announced his move to Ferrari from this year onwards.

And we were there for his first appearance for Ferrari. But before he left, he made sure Mercedes staff knew how much he’s appreciated working for them, with a special parting gift.

Recently, the Ferrari star was attending a race – but this one was of a slightly different kind.

Instead of being the star on track, though, Hamilton was there to watch a family member take center stage.

The champion has a half-brother, Nicholas, who competes in the British Touring Car Championship.

And, back in April 2023, he was there to support his brother for his race.

He intentionally sported a large sweatshirt and ski mask in order to keep a low profile.

Nicholas would go on to achieve a career-best finish that day in Donington Park.

And he did so with his F1 title-winning half-brother there to cheer him on all the way.
