Daniel Mac from Arizona filmed a fleet of multi-million-dollar cars roll past him, with a final license plate on a Mercedes worth more than all of them.

Instagram sensation Daniel Mac, who asks people what they do for a living, had a look at some cars, including a pair of six-wheeled Mercedes G-Wagens.

One of the two had a very interesting license plate. It’s one of the most expensive in the world and would cost a fortune to buy.

That left Mac perplexed by what he had seen and what he had found out.

The most expensive license plate you’ve ever seen

The two G-Wagens rolled up, and Daniel Mac got to look at the license plate on the second car.

He got quite a shock when he saw it was registered in Dubai as simply the number ‘1’.

This is where things get interesting.

In Dubai, there is a number 1 license plate; however, that is reserved for the Royal Family.

The plate is used by the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

It was first seen on his new Land Rover Defender Octa at the start of 2025.

Now, these guys in the video clearly aren’t from that family, and the plate is not the one used by the Royal Family.

But there will be some value to it.

Single-digit license plates are very expensive

License plates with a single digit are very expensive and are often seen as a flex and a sign of wealth.

A red number seven at one end of the plate in the video suggests it is not the same one used by the ruler of Dubai.

But it could still hold high value.

Some license plates are virtually priceless, such as the F1 plate used by a millionaire in the UK.

Currently, the most expensive plate is Dubai Registration P7, which sold for 55 million AED in 2023, or $15 million.

There is a huge desire from some to use these plates and showcase their wealth.

But it is still a surprise to see that they are more expensive than the million-dollar cars they are attached to.

The question is, would you pay that much for a license plate?
