Kanye West is back on Instagram and has shared a first look at his new McDonald’s collaboration.
The rapper/designer/billionaire is teaming up with MUJI designer Naoto Fukasawa “to reimagine McDonald’s packaging”.
West posted a photo of a sandwich covered in see-through wrapping with the familiar golden arches printed on it to his feed.
It’s the only image on his Insta grid after he erased literally everything else he had posted.
On his stories, West posted the same image with the words, “Next week it’s fries”, underneath.
The phrase is a reference to his 2005 hit featuring Jamie Foxx, Gold Digger, from his Late Registration album.
Instagram users were thrilled about Ye’s return to the social media platform and the upcoming collab.
“Back like you never left,” one fan wrote.
“We still waiting on the yeezy meal,” another person said.
A third person joked: “Do (sic) the combo come with [Balenciaga] boots.”
Others were surprised about the news.
“Gotta say though, Ye making his Instagram return with a post about McDonald’s was not what I was expecting for his comeback lol,” someone else wrote.
Kanye West appears in McDonald’s Superbowl ad
This is the not the first time this year Ye and McDonald’s have worked together.
He made a cameo in the fast food giant’s Superbowl commercial along with NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace.
In the ad, the rapper rolls up in his Russian Sherp ATV to a McDonald’s drive-thru.
The ex-husband of Kim Kardashian deleted all his Instagram posts earlier this year after his account was locked for 24 hours.
Celebs who have collaborated with McDonald’s
BTS – Along with merch, the world’s biggest boy band introduced two limited-edition sauces for people to dip their 10 Chicken McNuggets into. But the meal collab wouldn’t be complete without medium fries and a Coke.
Saweetie – The Saweetie Meal were the rapper’s go-to menu favorites: a Big Mac, four-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium fries, sweet and sour sauce, barbecue sauce and a Sprite.
Travis Scott – Mr Kylie Jenner reportedly made $20 million from this collaboration with the Golden Arches. His meal of choice since childhood is a Quarter Pounder, fries with barbecue sauce and a medium Sprite. It also came with merchandise.
J Balvin – Hot off the heels of the Travis Scott success, McDonald’s teamed up with superstar J Balvin who grouped a Big Mac, medium fries with ketchup and an Oreo McFlurry as his meal of choice.
