This 1970s Lincoln was found in a neglected lot in Philadelphia and needed some TLC.
But could a YouTuber get it back on its wheels after being out for the count for three decades?
NoNonsenseKnowHow paid the car a visit to give it a go.
His clean-up efforts took a surprising turn.

What sort of condition was this Lincoln Continental in?
As you might expect, sitting stationary for 30 years doesn’t do a car any good.
Just take a look at this 1959 Chevy pickup left sitting for 30 years as proof of that.

This Lincoln was no different – there was plenty of rust and decay to go around.
It was surrounded by debris, including a wrecked picture of a woman, tiles of slate, and other junk.
After digging through the trash, he got the Lincoln out and took it away for renovation.
Going through the maintenance checks, the YouTuber encounters a few surprises along the way.
What surprises did this car have to offer?
As he went through repairing the car, some unexpected discoveries popped up.
Namely the interior being a total wreck, thanks to the presence of mold and a partly collapsed ceiling.

It even had a smell to it which stirred up some memories.
The host said: “It kinda takes me back to my childhood – some of my friends’ basements smelled just like this.”
Not exactly a ringing endorsement.
At least there weren’t any close calls with vomiting, like what happened to these guys fixing up a Honda Acura NSX.
By the video’s end, he has applied some elbow grease and gotten the car looking a whole lot cleaner.
Speaking to his 616,000 subscribers, he said: “How did we even get here?

“This car should have been taken straight to the scrap heap.
“But I decided to try and give her a second chance, and as you can see, it’s pretty far gone.
“A few things come to my mind for uses – definitely a good demolition derby car, could make a good Mad Max cruiser or could be the Duke Mobile from Escape from New York.”

He’d need some chandeliers for that last idea.
But it just goes to show that you shouldn’t always write off a car just because it’s seen better days.
