The streets of India often hold surprises, but spotting a luxury Jaguar XJ-L abandoned and left to rot is a heartbreaking sight.
This $142k gem, found gathering dust and dirt on the streets of Pune, India, has been sitting ignored for years.
Half-covered by a tattered car cover, the luxury sedan’s state raises questions about how such a prestigious car ended up here.

Jaguar XJ-L abandoned in Pune, India
The Jaguar XJ-L in white, once a head-turner on the streets of Pune, was a victim of time and nature.
While it’s unknown how many years it has been left to rot, the layers of dust and its dilapidated condition reveal that it has been abandoned for a long time.
The video of the car resting was posted on Instagram by watchmotard.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first instance of a high-end car being neglected in Pune.
Previously, a Mercedes S600 Limousine was spotted in similar disrepair in the same city.
What makes the $142k Jaguar XJ-L even more mysterious is its unknown provenance.
The car’s backstory is unknown
While stories of abandoned luxury cars are common in India, their backstories are usually known.
However, that’s not the case with this one.
Was it a case of financial troubles, legal issues, or simple negligence?
No one knows for sure.
But we know one thing – this car deserves a lot better.
Whether it will be reclaimed by its rightful owner or left to decay further is uncertain, but for car enthusiasts, seeing such a beauty forgotten on the streets is both puzzling and disheartening.
