Tech products make life easier, but hurt your wallet
In the 21st century, many mundane tasks can be taken over by products or even artificial intelligence to make our lives easier and help free up time.
From robovaccums to glasses that film without a huge camera and even kitchen gadgets to make cooking meals simple, easy, and quick, tech is playing an ever-larger role in all our lives.

So, in light of the eye-watering price tags that many products have, YouTuber Mrwhosetheboss decided to buy the cheapest tech on the internet to see if the price really counts.
With a range of products for all areas of life, his total basket came to under $250.

The cheapest tech on the internet: the verdict
First up on the list to be tested were $34 smart glasses and a $30 wireless flame speaker.

“I just don’t get it,” said the creator when he tried the smart glasses, as they provided a mediocre performance and offered no sun protection or visual aid.
The wireless flame speaker was actually ‘convincingly fire’ even though it was described as looking like a Happy Meal toy.
Next, it was all about bringing light into the equation
It was the turn of light products next, with a $25 dodecahedron, a $13 multifunctional lamp, and an $11 multifunctional lamp.
“This is absolutely mesmerizing,” he said as he got to plugging in the dodecahedron and described it as ‘less of a lamp, more like a prop’.

The multifunctional lamp and LED art frame also impressed, with the cheap price tag not compromising ability.
The cheapest tech on the internet took a fun turn
The creator next tested a $12 twist ice cube maker, a $10 golf laser, a $10 pizza slide, and a $9 self stirring mug.
Now, with this next set of the cheapest tech on the internet, things were fun.
Whilst the ice-cube maker made sense and was ‘less feral’, there are better options out there.
The golf laser also relied on human accuracy and didn’t impress, and the self-stirring mug didn’t either.
The pizza slide was the buy of the century, though.
The gifts kept on giving
The creator also snapped up $7 earphones and was actually really impressed by their performance, but reluctantly wouldn’t recommend them.
An $8 LED rope launcher was fun to use, and the $7 macro pad created a whole new level of convenience.
The $10 robo vacuum and the $6 massage pad didn’t do well, though, as their performance proved less than satisfactory, with the vacuum having no suction.

A $6 16TB flash drive was also tested, but sadly, it only actually had 57.9 GB of storage.
Ultimately, winners included a cheap shower head, $1 shoelaces that turn any shoes into slip-ons, and an Apple Watch case.
So, sometimes, the cheapest tech on the internet can be deceiving, but some products really are as good as the real deal.
