A man completed a battery drain test on the Apple iPhone 17 range, as well as the Pro and Pro Max models of other iPhones, to see which battery on which phone performs the best.
iPhone battery life has always been a hot topic, and that is unlikely to go away with the latest generation, the iPhone 17.
With so many different versions, it’s hard to really work out which has the best battery life, but that is what this video by PhoneBar aimed to find out.
The test had iPhones from the 11 onwards, including Pro and Pro Max versions, to give as thorough a test as possible.

All phones were fully charged to 100 percent
Before the test, the YouTuber made sure to point out that each phone was fully charged to 100 percent.
The simple aim of the test was to find out which phone had the best battery life.
All of them were connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Initially, they were subjected to an hour of a YouTube video at Auto Resolution.
That was followed by an hour of an Instagram feed, and then by multiple reels playing on a loop.

After two hours, the iPhone 17 Pro Max had the most battery left at 91 percent.
The lowest of the bunch was the iPhone 11 Pro.
It had just 44 percent remaining.

The test provided good results for the iPhone 17
As the video progressed, some of the phones began dropping like flies.
The first to go was the iPhone 12, lasting just four hours and one minute.
After that was the 12 Pro, which only managed a single minute longer!
Six and a half hours into the challenge, and eight of the 20 phones had already run out of battery.
As the test wore on further, it will come as no surprise which phones were left.
After 11 hours, just the 17, the 17 Pro, and the 16 Pro Max were left standing.
The last of the phones to run out of battery was the 17 Pro Max, the 17 Pro expiring after 11 hours and 59 minutes.
The 17 Pro Max kept on going, and eventually its battery ran out after 14 hours.
That is super impressive and shows how strong iPhone batteries have become.
