A man found a rusty Dodge Coronet classic car lying abandoned in a field, but there was something spooky that overshadowed the find.
YouTuber Bryan VanZandt of LunarOutlaw’s Garage came across the Dodge buried in the weeds, with the car coming from the early 1950s and clearly having sat for a long time.
Abandoned cars always have an eerie quality to them, and they often have some interesting stories to tell as well.
This particular Coronet was in poor condition, and it was a remarkable find that is quite transfixing to watch.

What was so spooky about the Dodge Coronet?
Bryan VanZandt found the car in a really poor state.
Many of the major components were gone, with the doors stripped away and the bodywork looked in poor shape.
It turned out this was an early first-generation Coronet, from 1951 or 1952, giving the car more value.

VanZandt was able to rescue the car, and it was brought back to his garage for restoration.
But while editing the video, around 10 minutes and 50 seconds into it, he thought a voice slipped through the recording.
That created a very ghostly feeling to the rescue of the Dodge.
If you are a believer in ghosts, perhaps it was the voice of one of the past owners of the car.
The Coronet is getting a full restoration
VanZandt fully aims to restore the car and get it running again.
However, that is something that will clearly take the YouTuber a long time.
During the video, VanZandt tried to get the engine under the hood to fire up again.
Sadly, that wasn’t to be, meaning much more work is still required on the car.

At the time of the car’s launch, the Coronet sat at the top of the Dodge lineup.
It was also affordable, meaning families of the 1950s could get their hands on a solid, reliable car.
They were built tough, so a good number have survived, and they are popular classics.
Before this one gets back onto the road, however, it is going to need some pretty serious work.
