In Dubai, one man set out on a bold hitchhiking challenge, limiting himself to rides in supercars as he raced against time to reach his wife before she finished work.
This would normally be an impossible task, but in one of the world’s wealthiest cities, there was a glimmer of hope.
Armed with nothing but a camera, a cardboard sign, and a bouquet of flowers, YouTuber Mohamed Yaz stepped onto the roadside to test a popular stereotype.
The question was simple: would strangers behind the wheels of supercars actually stop?

There were plenty of supercars in Dubai, but not many stopped
From the start, things didn’t go smoothly.
Hitchhiking isn’t exactly common in Dubai, and in some areas, it isn’t even allowed.
Drivers passed by the content creator without a second glance, and even a brief moment of hope involving a passing Bugatti turned into disappointment when the car stopped for reasons unrelated to him.

Still, he remained optimistic, convinced that success in hitchhiking was as much about psychology as it was about luck.
His strategy soon evolved.
Instead of just sticking out his thumb, he held flowers, hoping to appear more approachable and human.

It was a small but clever touch, and eventually, it worked, although not before he got really creative with his signs.

A driver named Marwan pulled over and offered him a ride in a Toyota Supra.

While it was debatable whether a Toyota Supra is indeed a supercar, it was close enough, given that certain models could be worth more than many supercars.
While the definition of a supercar became a bit flexible at that moment, the gesture mattered more than the badge on the hood.
During the ride, the conversation revealed something deeper.
Marwan explained that helping others was part of his personal philosophy, saying that kindness often came back around in unexpected ways.

While Marwan may not have had the flashiest car that the YouTuber encountered that day, it was a great reminder that generosity isn’t always tied to wealth and assets.
Thanks to that lift, the YouTuber reached the Dubai International Financial Centre in about an hour – far quicker than expected.
Having to find a new spot slowed down his progress
But the challenge didn’t end there.
With hours still left before his wife finished work, he decided to try again to see if his experience was a one-off.
Unfortunately, on his second attempt, he encountered a problem.
He was making his hitchhiking attempt on Bvlgari Island, a private island known for its dense concentration of luxury cars.
It didn’t take long for security to quickly chase him away, forcing him to relocate and start over.
As time ran out, the experiment became more frantic.
Supercars were nowhere to be found, and the Dubai heat made the wait even tougher.

Just as he was about to give up, another driver stepped in and offered help, proving once again that kindness could appear when least expected.

While it still wasn’t a Ferrari or Lamborghini, at this point in his journey, he wasn’t picky.
Perhaps he should have waited for the Dubai police to pick him up instead.

More importantly, he made it just in time to surprise his wife, turning a simple video idea into a memorable adventure.
