This man and his friends spent 365 days building their own Bugatti Chiron from scratch, as they couldn’t afford to buy one.
When we say from scratch, we truly mean from scratch. It wasn’t a case of cobbling together supercar pieces from other donor cars; it was a case of moulding each part out of clay.
This is probably one of the most impressive things we’ve ever seen. We don’t know how the group of friends managed to look at a pile of clay and metal rods and build an actually drivable and accurate-looking Chiron.
It took the team a whole year and a whole lot of work. But the pure pride they must have felt after they completed it would be worth all the hard work.

Building their own Bugatti Chiron from scratch
This has to be the best DIY project we’ve ever seen, because when kit supercars are built, they’re usually made up of various parts taken from donor cars.
In the case of this guy and his team of friends who desperately wanted their own Bugatti Chiron but couldn’t afford it, they decided to make their own from scratch.
Instead of finding a pre-existing car shell, they actually built a frame out of metal bars and plastic and covered it in moldable clay they sourced from outside.
They managed to get the shape of the DIY car to look exactly like the real thing. Then they began to prime it, but your eyes won’t believe that it used to just be a pile of clay.

Somehow, the primer made the whole model look incredibly smooth and ready for proper painting. But the guys also managed to use clay to fashion a steering wheel that looked just like the original.
The DIY kings managed to fit the model with a W16 engine and a seven-speed gearbox; they also coated the exterior in a two-tone finish – a smart blue and black.
With the lights, mirrors, and rear spoiler installed and with the final supercar actually being driveable, you could easily fool anyone into thinking it had driven straight off a legitimate Bugatti production line.
The team plans to work further on their DIY supercar, but it is already extremely impressive – can you improve on perfection?
