Arizona man stunned to learn how much he has to pay for gas every two days after buying Ram 1500 TRX

An Arizona man was left stunned after learning how much he had to pay for gas for his Ram 1500 TRX pickup truck every two days.
In a post uploaded by Caden – AKA cadenterry on TikTok – the pickup owner learned the hard way just how expensive refueling one of the high-performance trucks is.
The clip has gone viral on TikTok, amassing nearly 60,000 views as the Arizona man shares the cost of filling up, which had risen by three figures.
However, despite the cost of gasoline, Caden has said he is still very happy with his purchase of the Ram TRX 1500.

How much it costs to fill up the Ram 1500 TRX
Caden said in the video that he has had the truck for just two days, but that has already led to huge fuel bills.
The TikTok user said that he was on his second trip to the gas station, and it cost $112 to fill the Ram up.
That is seemingly the cost of owning a high-performance pickup truck.
However, despite this, he admitted he doesn’t mind paying for it.
He said that he also owns a Chevrolet Corvette, which costs a similar amount to refuel.
Thing is, he’s more than happy to pay for a premium driving experience.
In the TikTok video, he said:
“I like to drive fast. I like to have toys that are fast.”
Performance does not come cheap
It is little wonder that fuel costs so much, given the specs for the Ram 1500 TRX.
The pickup truck has a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 under the hood that makes 702hp and 650lb-ft of torque.
With so much power, the economy figures for the truck are quite poor.
Reviewers have noted that it can sometimes run an average as low as 9mpg.
The official figures from the US Government list it as at 10mpg in the city, 14mpg on the highway, and 12mpg combined.

The Ram certainly isn’t going to win any fuel economy awards anytime soon.
There were mixed responses to Caden’s video in the comments.
Some were happy he enjoyed the truck; others criticized him for having such a gas-guzzling vehicle.
Sometimes, however, having fun can be worth the big price tag.
