A car enthusiast took his incredible $5,000,000 car collection to WeBuyAnyCar to see what it would offer him, and he was left shocked by the valuation.
YouTuber and car lover Mark McCann has the sort of car collection most of us can only dream of.
It’s packed with high-performance beauties, including a Gumball Rally Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, a Mercedes Brabus GLE, and a Lamborghini Huracan STO.
McCann spent around $5 million building his stunning collection, but he wanted to find out how much he’d be offered by car-buying service WeBuyAnyCar – and it was pretty eye-opening.

He had his car collection valued by a supercar dealer first
If you’re unfamiliar with WeBuyAnyCar, it’s a UK-based company that – as its name suggests – will buy any car, regardless of its condition.
The company pricing scale is largely based on the car’s condition and generic resale data, which means when it comes to supercars there can be a bit of a gap between what it offers compared to a specialist dealer.

Before visiting WeBuyAnyCar, McCann got an initial valuation from high-end car dealer Tom Hartley – to get an accurate idea of what the collection might be worth.
The supercar dealer valued six cars, including the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, the Brabus, and a Mercedes c63 Black Series.
The collection was appraised by Tom Hartley for a combined total of $1.8 million.
With that number in mind he headed out to WeBuyAnyCar to see what it would offer.

How did the WeBuyAnyCar quotes compare?
But he was immediately hit with a bit of a problem – the car selling service refused to value the entire supercar collection.

So, he had to travel around to several different sites and have each one independently valued, with the help of some crafty disguises.
After visiting a handful of branches, the total quotes came to just $1.1 million, which is about $755,412 less than what the dealer offered.
The biggest drop was seen in the Mercedes C63, which was given a valuation of $190,212 from Hartley and just $23,097 from WeBuyAnyCar.
While the valuation for the Brabus was around $136,500 less than the one from the specialist dealer.
The experiment goes to prove that if you’re trying to sell a rare or exotic cars, you’re probably best sticking with the specialists.
He’s not the first car owner to be left surprised by a valuation
McCann isn’t the only person to be left surprised after getting a valuation from WeBuyAnyCar.
The owner of a $96,880 Audi R8 V10 Plus said he was ‘about to faint’ after hearing how much his car was worth.

While, a Tesla Model Y owner was told his $70,000 EV had lost around half of its value.
Things were even worse for the owner of a 2009 Jaguar XF, which had Category N insurance write-off status. He was offered just $77 for the car, which was even less the $246 he’d been quoted by a scrap dealer.
