Marc Lore is pouring his fortune into one of the boldest ideas ever attempted – building an antire city in the desert, called Telosa.

This isn’t just some shiny tech Utopia, it’s a total rethink of how cities should work.

No private landlords, no pollution, and no traffic jams. Just a fully sustainable, AI-powered city rising from the desert floor.

And it will be bigger than big; Telosa will surpass the size of Manhattan and house up to five million people. But there is one catch.

Telosa will be bigger than Manhattan and it runs on sunshine and AI

Marc Lore, the billionaire who sold Jet.com to Walmart, is now channeling his wealth into a futuristic city powered entirely by clean energy. We’re talking solar, wind, kinetic sidewalks, and even smart water recycling.

Even better? According to plans, every building will generate more power than it uses.

Even the sidewalks will chip in, producing electricity from every step you take.

Not just that – you can forget garbage trucks. Instead, waste will vanish through an underground vacuum system.

It’s all designed so nothing is more than 15 minutes away.

At the heart of it all is Equitism Tower – an architectural centerpiece that doubles as a vertical city, complete with floating parks and public gathering zones.

And this isn’t just a showcase for green tech

AI will manage real-time systems city-wide, from emergency response to energy and water use.

Kids will learn through personalized AI tutors.

And health problems? They’ll be spotted early by wearable tech that knows your body better than you do.

Even rep tape gets a makeover. Voting, property, and identity will run on blockchain – no paperwork, no waiting in line.

It all sounds fantastic, but there is one catch.

Plans suggest you won’t be able to drive a car.

Telosa aims to eliminate vehicle ownership with AI-run electric shuttles, bikes, and drones.

So, while it sounds incredible, it’s not perfect.

Why this city in the desert might just work

Telosa is Marc Lore’s answer to everything modern cities have messed up – rising inequity, broken infrastructure, and out-of-touch housing.

Key to the vision is ‘Equitism,’ a new economic model where the city in the desert retains land ownership.

As land values rise, the city reinvests wealth into public goods like schools, healthcare, and transport, instead of letting it go landlords.

Developers could begin construction as early as this decade, as they scout sites across Nevada, Utah, and Arizona.

They’ve reportedly already committed billions.

If plans succeed, Telosa could redefine what a modern city looks like.
