Mate Rimac, CEO of the Rimac Group – which includes both Bugatti and Rimac Automobili – drives a pretty amazing car to work – a classic E39 BMW M5.
Rimac is not only into electric cars, despite the famous electric hypercar marque that bears his name, he is also a big fan of traditional, piston-powered cars.
His collection of cars is seriously impressive – from Bugattis and Rimac cars, to Aston Martin, Ferrari, McLaren, and this BMW – it’s an enviable selection.
Recently, he was spotted driving his classic E39 BMW M5.

The Rimac Group CEO headed to his parking spot, where his car waited for him.
He opened the car from a distance, threw his work back on the back seat, and took on the steering wheel, ready to take the classic car for a ride.
Unfortunately, the video ended before we heard the engine, but we can imagine that it must have sounded great.
Unlike Bernard Arnault, who is known for driving a humble Peugeot 205 GTI to his office, Rimac’s love for cars is plain to see from his Instagram account.
He himself posted the video driving the E39 BMW M5 on his Instagram account.
Other exotic cars in his collection include an E30 M3 Evo II, an F90 M5, and a BMW Z4 M Coupe – all known for their timeless class and power.
The fans were impressed by his style
His fans on Instagram were clearly impressed by his choice of car, with one person commenting: “This. Is. Gold. E39 M5 is simply timeless.”
Another fan said: “Ok this guy has taste.”
A third wrote: “This man has style.”
With a manual transmission and a powerful V8 engine, the car gives a pure driving experience.
Additionally, the car uses a classic steering system, adding a more traditional driving feel.
No wonder it is Mate Rimac’s choice for a daily driver.
