This mechanic shared a windscreen tip that could save you serious bucks
When maintaining a car, there are many different elements that you have to think about.
From servicing the engine and chassis to ensuring that the outside is left sparkling, it can cost a serious amount of cash to keep your car in check.
But fear not, as one savvy mechanic shared a clever tip, and it seems that it’s much easier to save money than you would think when it comes to your windscreen wipers.
TikTok creator zavian_malloy shared the windscreen wiper tip that surprised lots of car fans.
“Buying windshield wipers has got to be the biggest scam because they don’t tell you that you could just replace the rubber insert,” he explained.

But perhaps the most surprising thing of all is that he says to do this, it costs less than half the price of a single windscreen wiper blade.
“Not only does this save me about $15 to $20 per wiper, but it also keeps my wipers working like they did brand new, so to save yourself a pretty penny, just buy the wiper blade inserts,” he continued.

Even though the advice is valuable, we should share that you must check your car’s wipers can facilitate this, as sadly not every pair does.

“Didn’t even know that they sold windshield wiper blade inserts,” a third person said.
