Mercedes-Benz has launched a luxury residential project in Dubai, with 12 towers named after its concept cars and home to more than 13,000 residences.

Mercedes-Benz Places is situated inside Binghatti City, a large-scale residential development in Dubai, and is so huge it’s basically a city inside a city.

As well as thousands of new homes, Mercedes-Benz Places will also include shops, sports facilities, and other amenities.

And the carmaker has decided to stick to its roots by naming the skyscrapers after iconic concepts from its long history.

The ambitious Mercedes-Benz Places will cover almost nine-million square feet and offer luxurious accommodation and plenty more besides.

“Defined by precision engineering and a rational, functional grid, Mercedes-Benz Places | Binghatti City introduces an architectural language where every form is intentional, every proportion considered,” the company said in a statement.

Nestled in the prestigious Meydan City, the development is just eight minutes away from Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, and only 10 minutes from the Dubai Harbour.

As you’d expect from Mercedes-Benz, this won’t be your standard housing development.

The company says the new luxe residences will be seamlessly integrated with smart systems and advanced technology to enhance everyday living.

At the heart, there will be a sprawling ‘grand promenade’ with curving walkways, water features, family spaces, and wellness zones.

The opulent new development will have a central structure, known as the Vision Iconic, at its core, with 11 other towers dotted around it.

And, because it’s Mercedes, each of the towers is named after concept cars, including the Vision Mercedes-Maybach, Vision One-Eleven, and Vision Mercedes Simple,x to embed the brand’s identity into the properties.

“This is the first time we apply our brand DNA at a true urban scale,” Mercedes-Benz Axel Harries said.

Mercedes is not the only carmaker to move into real estate

Mercedes isn’t the only marque that has branched out into residential property in recent years.

Bugatti is currently building its own development in Dubai, which is due to open up later this year.

Meanwhile, Porsche also has towers, one in Bangkok and one in Miami, and Aston Martin has built a penthouse in Miami.

And last year, high-end tuning company Brabus announced it was planning to build an island geared towards car lovers.

So, now you don’t have to settle for just driving cars from your favorite marques; you can go one step further and move into one of their homes.
