A Mercedes E63 AMG wagon with carbon ceramic brakes is turning heads after its owner listed it for $156,000, aiming to fund a Porsche GT3 purchase.

The car is said to be the only one in this specific blue, has just 6,000 miles on the clock, and includes factory carbon upgrades and a roof box.

The seller believes the discontinued status of the Mercedes E63 and its unique configuration justified his asking price.

The dealership strongly disagreed.

Dealership questions the value of the car

The seller brought his Mercedes E63 wagon to a New Jersey dealership and proposed using it as a trade-in toward a $213,000 Porsche GT3.

A video of the encounter, posted by GeorgeJSaliba on Instagram, shows the seller detailing his car’s rarity, including its carbon ceramic brakes, full carbon exterior package, and low mileage.

He argued that the combination of discontinued production and a one-of-one spec places this Mercedes E63 on par with elite performance models.

The dealer pushed back, stating the market does not typically reward even rare Mercedes E63 builds with Porsche GT3 level value.

While carbon ceramic brakes and high-end options might appeal to enthusiasts, most buyers still view a Mercedes E63 wagon as a performance luxury car rather than an appreciating asset.

The used car market places most E63s, even rare ones, well below 120,000 dollars.

Asking 156,000 dollars puts the car into direct competition with Porsche GT3 models, which retain high resale due to brand equity, motorsport history, and demand.
