MG has announced that it will be launching its all-new MG7 fastback into Australia, and it’s got some interesting new features, including a deployable rear spoiler and tech-packed interior.
The original MG7 was launched back in 2007 and was in production until 2013.
The nameplate was revived in 2022 for the second-generation model.
Now, there’s an all-new model on the way, and it’s got some seriously attention-grabbing details.

The all-new MG7 fastback is landing in Australia, here’s what to expect
Just weeks after MG unveiled its all-new MGS6 EV, the carmaker has now announced the arrival of the MG7 fastback to the Australian market.
The new car has a sleek fastback design with some interesting new additions, including an adaptive three-stage electric rear spoiler, double-pane frameless glass doors, and bold-as-you-like statement exhausts.

The MG7 sits on 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 245/40 Michelin tires.
Inside, MG has placed comfort at the forefront, thanks to the car’s six-way electric adjustable seat, dual zone climate control, and sumptuous soft-touch materials.
The cabin is also packed with more tech than you shake a stick at, with a 12.3-inch color touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging, 360° camera, Bose sound system, Head Up Display, and wireless connectivity for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, all as standard.
The all-new MG7 is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, offering up to 170kW.
“Driving is meant to be fun, and your car makes a statement,” MG Motor Australia’s Business Director Kevin Gannon said.

“The MG7’s striking silhouette, quad pipes, and rewarding interior is our way of letting local drivers know what you drive can still express who you are.”
The MG is available to order now, and here’s what it’ll cost you
Unlike some of its other models, MG has said the MG7 will only be offered in ‘one adaptable and well-equipped trim’.
The car is available to order from Australian MG dealerships now.
And it comes with a starting price of AUD$44,990, plus on-road costs.
The MG7 comes finished in Emerald Green paint as standard, but other colors are available for an extra AUD$695.
You can also upgrade to a Bordeaux Red faux-suede interior trim for the same price.
