We count down the most expensive cars in the world, vehicles that cost more than prime real estate and look like street-legal spaceships.

From Bugattis to even a Red Bull auto, the cars not only look impressive, they also boast cool specs and engine capabilities.

But, some cost more than buying forms of real estate.

Would you secure a car rather than a house with these impressive perks?

The price of supercar luxury

Supercars can carry a hefty price tag, with some costing millions.

For example, a $3.8M fleet of exotic supercars seized from a biker gang, which is now used by Turkish police.

Plus, a legendary Mercedes touring car could go for half a million dollars even though it never saw a race.

But, the most expensive cars in the world are even more costly, with even more zeros behind the dollar sign.

Number one on our list is the Rolls-Royce Droptail

The Rolls-Royce Droptail tops this list by a very, very long way.

This auto was dubbed the most expensive in the world, with a price tag of over $30 million and impressive features.

The exterior finish is made from 1,603 pieces of Black Sycamore veneer and, with only four expressions set to be manufactured, it really is an exclusive snap-up.

Next, the Pagani Huayra Codalunga

The second most-expensive car on the list, easily costing as much as prime real estate in much of the States, is the Pagani Huayra Codalunga.

This powerhouse is based on simplicity and took inspiration from the 1960s longtail that took the track at the prestigious Le Mans, with the car company itself stating that it has ‘taken away rather than added’.

And it comes at a price of over $7 million.

The Red Bull RB17 hypercar is equally as impressive and spaceship-like

Next up is a track-only vehicle that has a top speed of 217MPH. Welcome to the Red Bull RB17.

The hypercar was unveiled at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed. It consists of a V10 engine and a ‘two-seater carbon fibre monocoque chassis’.

Sounds impressive right?

Well, its weight also comes in at less than 900kg and is quite literally a Formula One-esque car, an essential for any gearhead obsessed with speed.

The price tag is vast, coming in at over $6 million.

Just wait until you see the Aspark Owl

The Aspark Owl is a record-breaking, all-electric Japanese hypercar.

This impressive auto can reach Zero to 60MPH in just 1.72 seconds – now that is fast.

The car has four drive modes on offer – comfort, rain, city, and high speed – proving that you can take it literally anywhere, all for a cool $4 million.

And finally, Bugatti’s fleet really is the future of the supercar sphere

The top three priciest supercars on the list are all Bugattis: the Mistral, Bolide, and Tourbillon.

Bugatti’s Mistral comes in at around $5 million and boasts features including a 2.7-liter straight-eight engine.

The Bolide is a track-only hypercar which weighs 1,450KG, has impressive rear tires that are 400mm wide, and costs more than $4 million.

The Tourbillon is powered by an 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16 engine capable of a top speed of 445KMH (277MPH). The speed comes with a price though, over $4 million.

So, there we have it, the most expensive, space-ship like cars on the market.

There’s only one question to ask: which one would you splash your cash on?
