Several abandoned vehicles have been reported in the town of Chesham in Buckinghamshire, UK, over the past couple of weeks.
Residents in the town reported that some of the cars were left parked in a ‘dangerous’ spot.
Locals are unsure why they’ve been abandoned and are trying to get to the bottom of it.
Each of the abandoned vehicles has since been reported to the local council.

One of the abandoned vehicles is in a ‘dangerous’ spot
Sadly, rather than get rid of cars through the proper channels, there are some folks who decide it will be easier to abandon them – such as the 25 motorists who decided to dump their vehicles at Springfield-Branson National Airport or whoever left this 1977 Porsche 911 Targa for two decades.
And over in Chesham, locals have reported several abandoned cars and vans – some of which have been there for ‘months’.
The dumped vehicles include a Mazda and a 2007 Ford Focus.
The cars have been reported via the Fix My Street website, where residents can flag issues such as graffiti, fly-tipping, or abandoned and broken-down vehicles.
These forgotten cars are causing some issues too.
The first vehicle – a green Mazda – was reported on Sunday, December 22, with the person who spotted it saying it had been left ‘blocking’ a section of ‘narrow’ road, making it difficult for other motorists to use.
Tracking down the owners
The following day, a 15-year-old Ford van was reported abandoned near a junction and was ‘causing issues with access into and out of the road’.
The same day, a second vehicle – a 2007 Ford Focus – was also reported to the website.
The person who spotted the Focus said it had been there for ‘months’ and it has had no valid road tax or MOT since the autumn, Bucks Free Press reports.
The trio of dumped vehicles have now been reported to the local council which will set about tracking down their owners.
Anyone found guilty of abandoning a vehicle in the UK can be whacked with a fine of up to £2,500 ($3,140).
