After touching base years ago, one NASA astronaut has now revealed what she thought the coolest thing inside the International Space Station is.
Not every Astronaut gets to visit the International Space Station.
Sometimes, the capsules sent into space return home after just breaking through the atmosphere. Others go off to different satellites around the solar system.
But one person who has been to the ISS has now detailed their experience in an open, quick-fire interview, and she has revealed the ‘coolest’ thing.

NASA Astronaut on the ‘Cupola module’ in the International Space Station
Only a handful of people in the world truly know what the solar system looks like outside of our planet.
But astronauts have done their best to capture incredible images of the solar system and share what they can see through the eye of a lens.
And the views are plentiful, especially from the International Space Station.
Former NASA Astronaut Nicole Stott has now revealed that there’s one particular element to the ISS that is better than the rest, as the Cupola module has the best views you could hope for.

“There’s a part of the ISS that’s called the Cupola Module.
“It’s this big bay window that faces towards Earth, and it has six windows that surround it, this ginormous round window in the middle,” Stott said in an interview with LAD Bible.
“If you have free time as an astronaut in space, you will be found in that module because it just gives you this fantastic horizon-to-horizon view of the planet.
“You can float in it and you can look from one end of the Space Station to the other, so it gives you this really great view of where you’re living in space at the time.
“That opportunity to view Earth that way was the most extraordinary part of the whole experience.”
Astronauts experience some wild things in space
Life in space isn’t all just panoramic pictures and views, though, and being in space takes a visible toll on a NASA Astronaut.
Particularly, those who spend time out in space and the International Space Station for prolonged periods experience some odd physical effects.
And then returning to Earth is no joyride either, as another NASA Astronaut claimed that the journey home was the ‘most terrifying thing‘ that they experienced on their intergalactic voyage.

Aside from the rocket-fuelled antics, though, Stott’s free time in the Cupola module was likely worth its weight in seconds.
