NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick received a very special Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Roadster for his 75th birthday.
Hendrick, who owns the Hendrick Motorsports team, recently celebrated his 75th birthday and was given the sort of present most gearheads can only dream of.
His wife splashed the cash to get Henrick a specially commissioned 1:1 Venom F5 Revolution Roadster from Hennessey Special Vehicles.

The Venom F5 Revolution Roadster is a very special car
“The Venom F5 Revolution Roadster is comprehensively re-engineered from its Coupe sibling for ultimate performance on the road and track with improved agility, uncompromised handling, and higher downforce,” the company says on its website.
“A suite of track-focused improvements includes aerodynamic enhancements — significantly larger front and rear splitters, dive planes on the front fascia, and a distinctive rear wing — retuned suspension, new wheels, and digital track telemetry.”
The cars were made in a highly exclusive run of just 12 vehicles – all of which have now sold, including the one sitting on Mr H’s front drive.
His one was a ‘Carbon Series’ and came complete with ‘exposed carbon fiber on nearly every component’ as well as being kitted out with Hendrick logos throughout.
In images shared by the Hennessey team, Hendrick can be seen absolutely beaming as he takes ownership of the new vehicle – and who can blame him?
The car’s engine packs a real punch
Even someone accustomed to life in the fast lane would be left seriously impressed by the twin-turbocharged, 6.6-liter, V8 engine which produces 1,817 horsepower and can hit top speeds of more than 250mph (402km/h).
Inside, the car is just as stunning, with a cabin ‘designed to evoke the spirit of fast fighter jets’ and—as such—an aircraft ‘yoke’ for steering.
It’s unclear how much cash Mrs Hendrick spent on her husband’s new wheels, but the hypercars are thought to be worth around $3 million (£2,332,050).
“Manufacturing a hypercar requires a team effort on a global scale, and I could not be prouder of our accomplishments,” said John Hennessey, company Founder and CEO last year.
“Each bespoke commission is visually stunning, an imaginative collection of colors and materials befitting a vehicle of this caliber.
“Our clientele is thrilled by the Venom F5 and simply astonished by its performance.”
