The streets of Nebraska, US, recently witnessed a sight you might not have had on your bingo card – a bull riding shotgun in a Ford.

It might look like a scene from a comedy sketch – but this actually happened.

Norfolk Police soon pulled over the modified Ford, bewildered by the Watusi bull, which appeared to be enjoying the ride.

A Ford car with a bull passenger

According to the reports by News Channel Nebraska, the police received a call, informing them about a Ford car cruising down the highway with a ‘cow’ in it.

The police probably expected to see a small calf nestled in the seat, but instead, they were surprised to discover a fully grown Watusi bull, whose impressive horns were enough to make anyone think twice before approaching.

The car had also been significantly modified to make place for ‘Howdy Doody.’

Yes, that’s the name given to this bovine behemoth.

One side of the car had to be cut away to fit Howdy Doody, and a guard rail had been added at the front.

A poster reading ‘Nebraska’s BIG RODEO Parade: BEST CAR ENTRY’ was added, and a pair of horns decorated the car bonnet.

The modifications done to the Ford clashed with the US state’s safety standards and violated traffic rules.

However, the police handled the situation lightly, and the owner, Lee Meyer, was given a warning.

Meyer, who had put a lot of thought into his unique transportation choice, seemed quite disappointed to be asked to take his pet bull back home.

Lee and Howdy Doody might not be cruising the roads of Nebraska anymore, but the city will certainly remember them for their unforgettable and hilarious ride.
