Meet NEO – the home robot that’s quieter than a refrigerator

Artificial intelligence is the future, so it will come as no shock that more companies are implementing the technology into systems, especially robotics.

Now X1 has revealed all its latest plans surrounding its ultimate home robot.

Thanks to the new creation, boring household tasks like washing the dishes, finding your keys, and folding the laundry will be put into the capable hands of NEO.

But that’s not all it can do.

It can also act as your very own personal waiter, feed your dog, and even vacuum to enable you to keep on top of chores – talk about making your life a whole lot easier and freeing up time.

You can even schedule things to be done and ask the robot questions, like your own personal Alexa or Google Home, except it remembers.

It is fully autonomous, with the option of a 1X Expert helping it to achieve tricky tasks.

Charging is also simple, with the robot able to attach itself to charge at an outlet anywhere in your home.

“Neo is a humanoid companion designed to transform your life at home.

“It combines AI and advanced hardware to help with daily chores and bring intelligence into your everyday life. Neo is engineered from the ground up for safety,” 1x Vice President of Product and Design Dar Sleeper said.

The body of NEO is also lightweight, which helps it to produce ‘low-energy motions’, making it a super safe option to keep at home, all while coming with 5G, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.

There’s even a ‘three-stage speaker’ that can double up as an entertainment system.

What can’t it do?

The robot comes in at 29.94 kg, but its sheer weight proves no issue. In fact, it can carry almost its own body weight (24.95kg) and lift 68kg.

Each NEO comes with a knit suit that is machine washable, a head, and customizable shoes, so it really is a human-like companion, plus it emits a noise level of 22dB.

The AI journey can be kick-started now

Even though US deliveries begin in early 2026, the NEO robot can be pre-ordered now.

But, for all the flashy high-tech elements, there’s a reasonable price tag attached to the new home assistant.

For just $500 per month, the machine could be yours; that’s less than a brand-new iPhone 17. The monthly subscription includes a starter productivity package and standard delivery.

But, all in all, it will cost $20,000 for the early access ownership option, which includes full ownership with a three-year warranty, premium support, and priority delivery.

It’s all eyes on the NEO as the production nears the finish line.
