The new Mercedes GLB is bringing with it some incredible features, such as its triple screens and winter testing, as it heads for the release of the crossover.

This is the second generation of the GLB, as Mercedes looks to fend off rivals in the compact car segment, such as those from the likes of BMW and Audi.

The new GLB will head to the United States for the 2027 model year, and it has a completely new interior, giving the cabin of the crossover a much-needed refresh.

Mercedes will be hoping this new version can give its rivals a run for their money.

Triple screens are a highlight of the Mercedes GLB

One of the biggest talking points for the new car is its triple-screen layout.

This is something the new GLB embraces, although it’s an optional extra for those who really want it.

So far, no screen sizes have been disclosed, but Mercedes is calling it the floating MBUX Superscreen.

The screens are likely to be at least 14 inches, with a digital instrument panel of 10.25 inches.

Equally as mesmerizing inside the car is the incredible star-filled ceiling.

The Mercedes GLB has a glass roof, covered in illuminated stars, giving it a real Christmasy feel.

This is also an optional extra for the GLB.

Extensive winter testing has taken place

To push the car to its limits, the company has taken its new crossover well out of its normal comfort zone.

The car was taken to the Mercedes Technology Center in Sindelfingen, Germany.

There, it was subjected to arctic-style conditions, testing it in temperatures as low as -40 degrees.

The MTC tunnel can simulate virtually any weather condition, as well as fierce blizzards and large snowflakes.

In testing, the GLB appeared to do well, ready to handle whatever nature threw at it.

The GLB operates as either a five-seater or a seven-seater, the company saying it is perfect for wintry adventures.

That would appear to be evident from its extensive testing program!

Engine-wise, the car is set to have a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid engine.

The company expects to release a single and dual-motor EV version, and its public debut is on December 8th.
