The newly opened Falcons Flight is the tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster in the world, and is set to become an absolute must for thrill seekers.

Plans for the record-breaking roller coaster were announced back in 2017.

Now, Falcons Flight is up and running and is a signature attraction at the $1 billion theme park it calls home.

And it’s not one for the faint-hearted, offering record-smashing speeds along its 13,943 feet track.

The Falcons Flight has smashed records to become the world’s tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster

Six Flags Qiddiya City in Saudi Arabia opened its doors on 31 December 2025 and is a bucket list destination for adrenaline junkies.

It’s the first Six Flags park to open outside of North America, and boasts several record-breaking attractions, including the world’s tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster.

The Falcons Flight has six trains of four cars, with enough room for 14 riders per train.

It consists of three launches, each of which propels riders to faster speeds.

The ride lasts 3 minutes and 26 seconds, and riders are all but guaranteed to have their hearts in their mouths the entire time.

Speaking at the opening of the park, Six Flags Qiddiya City’s vice president, Neil Dwyer, revealed more information about the record-breaking ride.

The second launch has a top speed of around 100mph, while the third and final launch will send the train traveling at a little over 155mph, with riders set to experience ‘intense G-forces’ throughout.

At its highest point, the roller coaster stands at approximately 640 feet, the equivalent of a 60-storey building, and has a drop of 525 feet.

Falcons Flight smashes through the record for fastest roller coaster, which was previously held by Formula Rossa, with its maximum speed of 141mph.

It’s also a whole lot taller than Top Thrill 2, which used to hold the title of tallest roller coaster and stands at 420 feet with a drop of 400 feet, and is a lot longer than Japan’s 8,133-foot-long Steel Dragon 2000, which was previously the world’s longest roller coaster.

The park is also home to several other record-breaking attractions

The Falcons Flight isn’t the only record-breaking attraction at Six Flags Qiddiya City.

There’s also the Iron Rattler, which is the world’s tallest tilt coaster, and the Gyrospin, which is the world’s tallest pendulum ride.

The park is also home to the world’s tallest, free-standing shot tower ride – known as Sirocco Tower – and the Spitfire: the world’s tallest inverting coaster.

If all of that sounds a little bit too scary for you, the theme park also has 18 rides that are ‘specifically designed for families and young guests’.
