Swedish study of 1,300 EVs

Okay, so what exactly has happened – and why should you be interested?

Well, this is something you’re definitely going to want to read.

Today’s story is from the Scandinavian nation of Sweden.

But the story in question doesn’t concern Volvo or Polestar.

Instead, the story actually comes to us from a Swedish used-car marketplace.

Kdvbil recently decided to conduct a fascinating test concerning EVs.

The marketplace conducted a large-scale test analyzing the ‘State of Health’ of over 1,300 used electric cars and plug-in hybrids.

Naturally, this is an extremely relevant test, because the degradation of EVs has always been a raging debate.

So what did the test find out – and what should you take away from it?

Turns out that these cars are extremely durable

The main takeaway from the test is that the myth about degradation of EV batteries… is, in fact, a myth that doesn’t actually translate to the real world.

Kvdbil’s study found that eight of the 10 EVs retained more than 90 percent of their original battery capacity.

And it is a result that shatters previous myths about the endurance of EVs.

Sadly, the company did not share the average mileage required to maintain this capacity.

But it is still an incredible, myth-busting test that should give buyers of EVs a lot of confidence.

When looking at the top-performing electric cars, it is an interesting list.

Kia secured the top two spots with the EV6 and Niro Performance.

The Tesla Model Y rounded out the podium with a strong third-place finish.

Would this study help to change your mind about EVs?
