Tesla’s second-best-selling car worldwide, the Tesla Model 3 EV, is due for an upgrade, and leaks show the updated specs.

It got an adequate upgrade last year, but there’s a lot of hype around the upcoming 2025 version.

Several leaks hint around a new trim for the Performance variant — the Model 3 Ludicrous.

Ain’t that a ludicrous name?

While Tesla tries to keep unreleased cars under wraps, X users simply cannot stop spilling information.

The Model 3 is undoubtedly one of the best electric cars to buy.

Several users on the social media platform X posted images and leaked internal documents of the upcoming 2025 Tesla Model 3.

First off, user BooDev caught a Tesla showroom hosting a private event with a new red Model 3 parked.

It might not be the unreleased EV, but then, you never know.

There were several other leaked photos of the Model 3 that came out back in February, but those revealed very little information.

Further, a homologation document in Europe disclosed even more Model 3 Performance specifications, as reported by AutoEvolution.

TFF Forums user, Julien, uncovered the document, which had a lot to say about the upcoming Tesla Model 3.

For starters, the M3 Ludicrous will have a 162 mph (261 km/h) top speed and a new battery pack.

To provide context, the 2024 variant has the same 162 mph top speed, so there’s not much improvement there.

It would likely be able to pull off 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds, beating the current Model 3 by 0.6 seconds.

Also, thanks to new battery cells for the US variant, the Ludicrous trim in the US will weigh an extra 44 pounds compared to the rest of the range.

Furthermore, these aren’t the only leaks of the highly anticipated Ludicrous trim.

There are too many posts on X showcasing leaked images of the new EV on the roads for us to show.

What remains a mystery is whether Tesla will introduce a Ludicrous trim or not.

Guess we’ll see when the official announcement comes out.
