This Nissan Maxima was reportedly left abandoned in a shopping mall garage way back in 2022, and now the parking fee far exceeds the value of the car.

Parking tickets are a pain in any scenario, but when a car is left for years at a time, the fee can be simply astronomical.

In Australia, one car has been left for many years, and now the parking fine could even surpass the car’s value.

The car in question is a Nissan Maxima 30G, but the value leaves a lot to be desired.

This Nissan Maxima was abandoned, and now the parking fee exceeds the car’s value

We’ve all been there and paid for a parking ticket when we didn’t want to, especially in cities where rates are increased.

Parking can be costly, especially in plazas and shopping centres.

One driver, however, took parking fines to the absolute extreme when they reportedly abandoned their Nissan Maxima.

Now, let’s be clear, this car wasn’t a flashy new Nissan; it was a 1990s model, but the car was still running nonetheless.

The incident occurred in Brisbane, Australia, at the Uptown shopping complex car park, and it is quite simply mind-blowing.

The car reportedly first drove into the car park in 2022 and was left covered in dust, collecting dirt and a hefty bill.

In fact, according to reports, a daily rate of $68 was applied; the fee would have surpassed tens and thousands of dollars by now.

Now, considering the amount the car would be worth in 2025, the parking ticket surely surpasses the car’s current value.

According to Cars Guide, the car would be worth a maximum amount of $5,500.

There could also be a release fee, but it is unlikely that the car will actually be claimed, given the timescale.

Plus, according to a report on the car by Yahoo News, nothing can be done until a period of six months after the car’s registration has expired, and with permission from the car’s owner.

There were also reports that the car was about to be removed in January, too.

Nissan is a popular sedan among gearheads

Nissan is favored as a reputable car brand among car fans thanks to its cheap and long-lasting vehicles.

The engines are powerful, yet robust, and clearly get drivers from A to B.

For example, one California man revealed how buying a used 2007 Nissan Altima with 284,000 miles has saved him from debt.

Plus, Nissan’s new EV even secured so many orders in China that it managed to set a record.
