Noel Gallagher doesn’t know how to drive – but that hasn’t stopped him picking up some seriously cool cars.

The British singer even had a classic car sitting in his garage collecting dust for 25 years.

That’s when you know you’ve got some serious money.

Noel Gallagher’s forgotten car

Gallagher spent over $120,00 on a 1967 Jaguar MK2 drophead conversion.

Compared to other British celebrities like Jason Statham, who has spent millions on his cars, this isn’t too much of a splurge.

At the time of the purchase, he didn’t have a license.

Perhaps he’d planned to buy the car and then learn to drive – but 25 years went by and he was still not getting behind the wheel.

It was around that time that the Oasis singer opted to have it recommissioned by the same company that built it, before selling it on for a profit.

In 2022, Jaguar Land Rover Classic took it in to use it as a promotional vehicle.

Anyone familiar with the Jaguar MK2 will know from looking at Gallagher’s that his is a one-off.

Gallagher’s Jaguar makeover

Reportedly, Gallagher got a company called Vicarage to transform the car from four doors to two.

The back doors were removed, and the front doors were extended to even out the proportions.

Modern running gears were placed in this classic car, which is decked out with red leather seats and wood paneling.

The car also got a 3.8-liter engine transferred over from a Jaguar XJ6 Series III.

Alas, the engine didn’t get much chance to be put to work.

By the time the car was sent off to be recommissioned, it only had 2,000 miles on the odometer – none racked up by Gallagher.

He’d only ever been driven around in the car by his personal driver or his wife.

The video also made an appearance in his band’s music video too.

Gallagher referred to the car as his most expensive mistake.

Admittedly, Shaquille O’Neal buying three Rolls-Royces just because the salesman annoyed him might provide some stiff competition.
