A 49-year-old man from Norway has thanked the ‘diligent‘ Grok AI chatbot for saving his life, as it urged him to go back to the hospital and demand a scan of his painful abdomen, after being sent home.
People use AI in all kinds of ways, but mostly, it’s used to help people with their problems.
GrokAI is just one of many software programs that listen to its users’ issues and offer its data-driven guidance.
But in one recent instance, the platform helped guide a Norwegian man to the ER, as it turned out he was ignoring his increasingly painful ruptured appendix.

How Grok AI helped to save this man’s life
Grok AI has lent itself to all kinds of industries after being integrated with X (previously Twitter), most notably by lending assistance in cars.
But in a fascinating story shared on Reddit, one man began conversing with the digital assistant at 3am after his abdominal pain was becoming unbearable.
Citing ‘razor-blade-level pain in my stomach,’ the Norwegian man, ‘Tykjen’, revealed that the doctors sent him home from the ER with an acid blocker.
But after a few hours without the pain easing, the man opened his regular chatlog with Grok AI and asked what to do.
The program said:
“Go back right now and ask for a CT scan”.
And that’s exactly what he did, showing the doctors his prompts. This time, they obliged, and it turned out that his appendix was close to rupturing.

He was then immediately put in for surgery and came out the other side feeling ‘on top of the world’.
“Six-hour laparoscopic surgery later, it’s out. Pain is 100 percent gone. I woke up laughing about anesthesia,” he said.
“I’m alive and healed because an AI recognized the pattern when the first exam missed it.”
He then urged anyone else struggling with pains or other big issues to at least converse with the AI platform of their choice, as it can convince you to find the help you really need.
“I have never felt this good in my whole life,” he added.
It’s not the first time the AI platform has assisted in saving lives
Grok AI isn’t just the X chatbot, though, as it also helps power both Tesla Optimus and Neuralink, the latter of which is performing medical miracles.
The Grok-powered implant has helped ALS patients feed themselves for the first time in years, as a major breakthrough in life-altering technology.

With Tesla Optimus also set to roll out in the near future, Grok AI will be in more people’s homes than ever before, assisting people with the best practices and using Grok AI to communicate.
