This driver from Ohio is closing in on a whopping 1,000,000 miles in his 1999 Ford F-150 XLT, complete with original engine and transmission.

The Ford F-150 is loved by gearheads all over the world thanks to its dependability and feel, and one car lover has shown why it’s one of the best.

According to the odometer, the Ford is soon to hit a huge milestone thanks to original features, including the transmission and original engine, still going strong.

But that’s the only impressive stunt that a F-150 has pulled off.

Ford is classed as one of the most reliable car brands on the road.

From standard sedans and even electric pickup trucks, Ford is staying ahead of the curve in the car world.

But one vehicle remains a staple years after its initial release, the F-150, with one driver showing how it has stood the test of time.

One Reddit user shared how they have almost racked up 1,000,000 miles in their 1999 Ford F-150 XLT, and still has its original features.

The poster, civil-wareverything shared an image of their odometer, which read 850835.5 miles.

“Original engine and original transmission,” the driver stated.

They went on to explain that the ‘transmission is now slipping’ and the engine was burning oil, but apart from that, they had no issues except for power steering lines rotting off and regular maintenance.

Plus, despite the frame rusting, they may redo the engine and transmission.

“Possibly sandblast the frame and get a new bed since it rotted out, but otherwise love it,” they concluded.

You have to admit, almost hitting a million miles in a truck from the 90s with original features is no mean feat.

Truck lovers couldn’t believe the miles the truck had driven

“Holy s**t, in Ohio?? That’s super impressive. You get the frame sprayed?” asked one Ford enthusiast.

“Man, that’s my dream config truck. Super cab flareside 4×4. Great to see the mighty modular racking up some serious miles,” said another.

“Get it to 1,000,000!” added a third.

This isn’t the only Ford-150 we’ve seen being put to the ultimate test.

In fact, one Utah man towed 10,000 pounds with an electric Ford F-150 Lightning to see how it coped when maxed out.

Plus, an unlikely Ford F-150 XL even managed to beat the odds and pull off a drag race victory in David vs Goliath style.

We wonder when the 1999 Ford will hit 1,00,000 miles. Only time will tell.
