One mechanic who tried to ramp up business by offering a $39.99 oil change to all models of cars was left in a world of regret as a Lamborghini Gallardo rolled up the court.
Taking a car in for a regular service and oil change is one of the most mundane practices involved in owning a vehicle.
But for $39.99, you can’t complain, really.
That is, unless you are the mechanic offering such a bargain price when a supercar rolls in that would usually cost thousands to service.

This Lamborghini Gallardo takes advantage of this mega-cheap oil change offer
Oil changes, usually, aren’t an expensive ordeal. Some garages charge $120-ish for a routine change on larger cars.
Smaller cars could be even cheaper.
This particular garage was looking to smash oil a vast quantity of services with a $40 special, open to all cars, makes, and models.
Unfortunately, supercar services are a lot harder and cost much more, and this mechanic was left scratching his head when a Lamborghini Gallardo rolled in.

A video posted on Reddit showcases the mechanic having taken the Gallardo apart and knee-deep into its rear-mounted engine.
The Lamborghini Gallardo is a notoriously difficult car to service, too, even by supercar standards, as Redditors pointed out.
“They built this car by putting an Oil Filter on a jack stand, then building a car around it,” one person joked.
Another added: “Props to Lambo engineers for including a free puzzle game for mechanics.”
The Lamborghini Gallardo will likely be quite an expensive mistake for the mechanic, unless he can find a quick workaround.
How much is an oil change for a supercar?
At the top end of supercar oil change prices is the Bugatti fleet, which famously costs around $25,000 to do, as the entire car needs to be ripped apart, and expensive filters need to be replaced.
Lamborghini’s aren’t as much. In fact, one garage in Kansas has whittled it down to around $500, and even that can be considered to be extremely thorough and steep.

For this Gallardo, it’s just the $40, though.
Let’s hope they left a nice tip.
