Only 500 lucky Americans will have the opportunity to own a car that is claimed to be the ultimate compact V8 sports sedan.
The release comes from Lexus, marking the celebration of the beloved IS model’s history.
However, if car enthusiasts want to secure a version, they’ll need to be quick, as production is set to be limited.
However, the new release does boast some pretty impressive features, both inside and out.

Lexus is a brand renowned for its enviable fleet of vehicles.
Thanks to its reliability, the car manufacturer has fans all over the globe.
For example, this superfan from Texas has managed to rack up over a million miles in an unlikely Lexus, and it actually ran out of odometer digits.
But that’s not all.
One car vlogger even went viral for explaining why a $15K used Lexus is a better buy than a Toyota.
But this new release may just impress both Lexus and particularly sports sedan fans in equal measure.

Lexus has unveiled the new IS 500 Ultimate Edition, and it is certainly impressive.
But, motor fans will have to be quick to secure one as the production is limited.
The car is a ‘celebration of one of the last remaining naturally aspirated luxury V8s on the market,’ explained Lexus.
“Limited to 500 units in North America and set to go on sale later this year, the IS 500 Ultimate Edition adds further presence and capability to the venerable IS 500 F SPORT Performance grade,” the company continued.
Inside the car, things get even more impressive.
The ultimate compact V8 sports sedan features a 5.0-liter 2UR-GSE V8 engine and an eight-speed Sport Direct Shift transmission, delivering a powerful output of 472 horsepower.

The cabin runs a theme of ‘Circuit Red and Black’ along with red seatbelts and a serialized badge.
The exterior though, is where the magic really happens.
The 19-inch forged alloys and red brake calipers make the car a force to be reckoned with, and further showcases the sedan’s sporty elements.
It also has a matte black finish, along with the brand new exclusive body color called Wind.
It also has a whole heap of safety features too.
As the name suggests, it is a gray metallic color that lends to motion – it’s quite clever when you think about it.
“MSRP will be announced closer to when the vehicle goes on sale later this fall,” concluded Lexus, so keep your eyes on the prize if you fancy getting your hands on one of these.
Lexus is no stranger to an interesting auto release, with the brand previously creating a hydrogen engine buggy, and even though the range was at a loss, the concept was wild.
