Orlando Bloom just added a luxury eco EV to his celebrity car collection with the purchase of a top-spec Lucid Air.
The actor was seen at a Beverly Hills showroom finalizing paperwork before driving off in the electric sedan.
Based on the version he selected, the price is estimated to be around $170,000.
And when you take a closer look at the car and what it has to offer, that price tag makes sense.

Why Bloom’s luxury eco EV choice matters
The Lucid Air has positioned itself as a serious contender in the premium electric segment.
In its highest configurations, it offers more than 1,000 horsepower and a range exceeding 500 miles.
Models start at roughly $77,000, but the Dream Edition and Grand Touring Performance variants reach significantly higher price points.
Bloom’s car appears to be among these top-spec options.

This latest addition expands a garage that already includes multiple combustion-powered performance vehicles.
The Lucid Air does not replace those, but it does introduce a new dimension to his lineup.
Rather than defaulting to more familiar electric options, Bloom has opted for a brand that is still building its reputation, especially in celebrity car circles.

Bloom had recently returned to Los Angeles after a brief visit to the UK for a friend’s wedding.
His access to the vehicle ahead of most customers highlights the continued divide in availability between standard buyers and well-known public figures.
That gap remains especially wide in the electric luxury market, where demand frequently outpaces production.
Lucid plans to expand with additional models
Lucid has been deliberate in its approach to the luxury eco EV segment.
Its vehicles combine minimalist interiors, large battery capacities, and advanced technology features that are aimed at consumers prioritizing both comfort and innovation.
Unlike mass-market competitors, Lucid continues to position itself at the top end of the EV spectrum.

When a well-known celebrity car buyer like Bloom chooses a Lucid Air, it helps bring visibility to the brand.
These purchases often act as informal endorsements and have the potential to influence broader consumer interest.
It also reflects a cultural shift, where electric vehicles are no longer viewed as compromises but as legitimate luxury choices.
Lucid plans to expand with additional models, including the Gravity SUV, which is expected to follow a similar design and pricing philosophy.
If the company continues to attract high-profile customers and deliver consistent product quality, it could secure a lasting foothold in the segment.
Bloom’s Lucid Air is one example of how that strategy is beginning to gain traction.
