Beatles star Sir Paul McCartney’s wonderful car collection shows that the musician has a love of all things auto.

The collection included some British classics and a rather unexpected 20-year-old gem, too.

From Aston Martin to Lamborghini and even a Ford, the musician has driven some beauties in the midst of taking the music world by storm.

But his obvious favorite is an unexpected marvel.

Paul McCartney’s car collection shows he has a serious need for speed

Beatles star Sir Paul McCartney clearly has a love of all things music, but did you know that he’s also a secret gearhead?

The star, 83, has driven some cult classics throughout his career, but after being spotted in one sports car, his choice isn’t quite what you’d expect.

First up, fresh from Sir Paul’s wonderful car collection is his C5 Chevrolet Corvette. He was spotted driving the blue sports car out and about in California by surprised fans.

The Chevrolet is reportedly more than 20 years old, too, which proves the star has stayed humble and avoided snapping up a newer version of the sports car.

Next up is an Austin-Healey 3000.

The British classic was built between 1958 and 1967 and brought to life by the 2.9-litre engine with six cylinders beneath the hood.

The star is also said to have a Lamborghini 400GT, which he had converted into a right-hand drive.

McCartney has also been linked to other auto brands such as Aston Martin and even a humble Ford Bronco, talk about keeping it real.

But despite his other options in his wonderful car collection, it’s clear that the Corvette has stood the test of time after he was spotted behind the wheel in the US last year.

Some celebrities make their love of cars known to the world by getting involved in racing events or even partnering with brands and starring in adverts.

Others, though, sometimes keep their interest in engines hidden underneath the hood.
