Apple introduces universal USB-C port

People learning about iPhone hacks isn’t exactly a new thing.

It has been going on since the advent of the revolutionary smartphone itself.

Of course, the release of each new generation brings new hacks with it.

And the release of the iPhone 15 in September 2023 was no different.

This release was different for one very key reason.

And that reason was the reintroduction of the famed USB-C charging port.

All Apple products then and since have been released with this port.

It is believed that this change was forced due to European Union regulations.

The European Council ruled that any and all products marketed in the EU had to come with a universal USB-C port by the Autumn of 2024.

Europe is one of the largest markets for Apple, so it naturally obliged.

Like with other generations, there were many things you could do with this iPhone.

The ultimate iPhone charging hack?

But this is the one hack that really stunned people when they found out.

Before wireless charging was introduced, people discovered that you could charge your devices with a cable.

But the charging source could be another Phone with the same USB-C port.

In a post that quickly went viral, one Twitter user demonstrated this.

“PSA: you can charge an iPhone from another iPhone,” user Sheel Mohnot noted.

“Can also charge your laptop, same principle – saved me a few times,” one person said.

“That’s how you show somebody that you really love them,” another joked.

“Wait…what?” was the surprised reaction of a third person.

Did you know that this hack was available?

It could certainly save you in a pinch if your phone is ever on the verge of dying.
