This pilot revealed the cockpit takeoff secrets that we all want to know
When it comes to flying, the process of getting the aircraft up into the air requires many steps and rules for things to run smoothly.

But, despite many of us thinking that we have a well-rounded idea of the pre-takeoff routine on flights, there’s actually a whole other world of steps happening at the front of the plane, behind the cockpit door.
So, to share more about the process of flying and taking off, one TikTok pilot revealed all.
TikTok creator and pilot Captain Steeeve shared the secrets and shocked aviation fans far and wide.
“I repeat that instruction back word for word to the air traffic controller, and then before I take the runway, I ding the flight attendants,” he said.

He revealed that he then turns on all the lights, including the runway lights, landing lights, and strobe lights, which are only turned off when the aircraft lands.
“The last thing I do is turn on my manual old-fashioned clock that’s on my dash just to get a time hack for how long the flight has been,” the pilot continued.
Aviation fans couldn’t help but react to the captain’s confession
“Love these narratives. It makes me feel safer when I’m flying,” said one user.
“Why not just leave all the lights on will it hurt anything?” asked another.
“I feel like I’m ready to fly my own plane,” added a third.
Captain Steeeve is one of many pilots offering flying tips and tricks online to help anxious flyers feel more at ease.
For example, one experienced pilot decided to take to the internet and explain the reasons behind the huge rumble of turbulence straight after take off.
Plus, the TikTok pilot also revealed the real reason why we can’t just fly into outer space – and it’s simpler than you think.
