Many of us have encountered the situation of needing to use the toilet before take off but having to wait until the aircraft is airborne.

This pilot revealed the secret we all want to know about the plane toilet
When talking about all things planes, there are some secrets that passengers desperately want to know.
Luckily, there are pilots on hand to reveal the secrets of the skies and put people’s minds at ease.

One pilot and TikTok content creator, Captain Steeeve, revealed one of the biggest in-flight mysteries, and it’s all about using the restroom.
The pilot tackled the question of why you’re really not allowed to use the plane toilet when the plane is on the ground and runway.
Spoiler, it’s really simple.

“One of the most dangerous times is actually during taxing because if I have to hit the brakes and you’re standing up in the aisle, you’re going to fall,” explained the content creator.
As you’d imagine, if you were in a certain room on the plane, things wouldn’t be pretty if you lost your balance.
“If you’re in the bathroom, good things are not going to happen in there,” he continued.
He did later reveal that the situation had previously happened when nature had called, and it needed to be seen to right away by a passenger.

In that situation, the plane had to stop in its tracks until the person had exited the bathroom and was back in their seat.
“It holds up the entire airport; it’s really a hassle when that happens,” the pilot explained.
Plus, others would also want to get up too.
The captain also went on to discuss whether there are ever any jokes cracked during safety briefings.
“The safety briefing is something that is mandated by the FAA,” said the pilot as he detailed that you can sometimes add in some funny aspects, but never alter the mandatory information.
Aviation fans reacted to the inside scoop online
“Hold it! Taking off and landing is the most stressful points of an aircraft,” said one plane fan.
“I’ll admit I’ve done that before… I was on a Southwest flight and we were holding before the runway, and I had to pee,” added someone else.
“How do people not understand that that plane, when it is taxing is going 40 to 50 miles an hour, I try wearing my seat [belt] all the time during the flight, but I always wear it when we are taxing,” said a third.
Safety comes first when flying, with many pilots performing great things with the utmost caution and care.
One Red Bull pilot managed to pull off the near-impossible by landing a plane on the tiniest of helipads.
Plus, another Boeing 737 pilot battled the elements of nature as he avoided a go-around when landing the plane during a storm.
