The new Porsche 911 Manthey kit costs almost the same as the car itself, but it promises to seriously boost performance.
The 992 GT3 RS Manthey performance package will help push the 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS to new speeds on the track.
Porsche says the new kit will be ‘easy to spot thanks to its extensive aerodynamic modifications’.
But if you fancy better performance, you’ll need to part with a lot of cash.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS Manthey package promises to boost performance
The Porsche 911 barely needs an introduction – launched way back in 1964, the 911 has stood the test of time and is now in its eighth generation, known as 992.
And if the already impressive vehicle wasn’t quite enough for you, Porsche says the Manthey kits, which launched in the US this month, will ‘further enhance’ the track-focused Type 992 911 GT3 RS.
Previous performance kits released by Manthey – which Porsche has a majority stake in – have helped 911s to set new records on race tracks around the globe. And it seems this new kit will be no exception.
The package will see the Porsche 911 GT3 RS given an aerodynamic and aesthetic overhaul thanks to a new larger front lip that is supported by carbon fiber reinforcements alongside an array of new fins, a super-sized rear wing, and a widened diffuser.
While this gives the car a more aggressive look, it also increases the 911’s downforce by 20 percent with no additional drag.
“At 177 mph, the 911 GT3 RS Manthey Kit produces over 2,200 lbs of downforce,” Porsche said.
“This allows the driver to carry more speed while turning, especially through medium and high-speed corners.
The new kit does not come cheap
To handle all of this extra downforce, the Manthey kit increases the car’s suspension, offering 30 percent more spring rate at the front and 15 percent more in the back.
It also includes ‘track-optimized brakes’.
There are also a bunch of optional customization features, such as illuminated carbon fiber door sill guards emblazoned with the Manthey logo and a towing eye in red, black, or yellow.
However, the kit does not come cheap.
The permanence kit will set you back $116,160, which does not include taxes or installation costs.
This puts the kit in a similar price range to the Porsche 911 Carrera S – which costs $146,400 – and isn’t a million miles away from the $241,300 a new Porsche 911 GT3 RS costs.
