Although Porsche has denied that the mysterious car spotted at LAX had anything to do with them, much to our disappointment — they did unveil a new special edition 911 Turbo to mark its 50th anniversary.

While many hoped that the Porsche spotted at LAX was a new secret model the automaker had been working on, that didn’t turn out to be the case.

However, the German automaker didn’t leave fans disappointed as it unveiled the new 2025 Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years.

2025 Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years

2025 marks the 50 years since the debut of the first Porsche 911 Turbo in 1975.

To mark this special occasion, the automaker is releasing an exclusive edition of the iconic supercar.

The Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years is based on the current 2025 911 Turbo S.

That means it gets a 3.7-liter flat-six that makes 640 horsepower and 590lb-ft of torque.

The car also gets an optional Heritage Design Package, which includes classic sports wheels and lollipop-style race numbers on the doors.

Buyers can even choose what number they want as long as it’s between 0 and 99.

Although we didn’t get to hear about a new Porsche model as many expected, this is the next best thing.

Let’s not forget that the Turbo S that the special edition is based on — is the fastest Porsche 911 ever made.

However, the production of the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years will be limited to 1974 units.

The car pays homage to the historic 911 Turbo models and reinterprets its heritage.

Mysterious Porsche

Despite the great news about the new 911 Turbo, many people are still wondering if they will see the mystery Porsche ever again.

Fortunately, it is quite likely that the mysterious Porsche will be showcased at the Monterey Car Week.

So stay tuned for more updates on the annual car event.
